Itinerary
ITALY AMALFI COAST
THE AMALFI CRUISE – ENJOY LA DOLCE VITA AT ITS BEST
DAY 1 FROM NAPLES TO PONZA
Your dream holiday begins in Naples, the capital of Campania. With the Vesuvius on one side and the crystal clear Mediterranean on the other, Naples boasts a unique atmosphere. Historical house facades with red tiled roofs line the edge of the quaint lanes. Traders for Neapolitan delicacies prove their culinary skills on every street corner. The Naples Yacht Club offers a range of luxurious amenities for yachting vacationers. After a welcome on board, the captain heads for the Isola di Ponza. This small untouched island is considered a paradise for yachting vacationers. One anchorage lines itself after another and beckons to take a bath in the refreshing Mediterranean Sea. Those who long for a lively port city atmosphere can moor at one of the marinas and indulge in the Italian flair. Postcard motif and must-see on Ponza is the Faraglioni di Lucia Rosa, in the west of the island. Let the natural beauty take effect on you and enjoy another day along the Amalfi coast in one of the fish restaurants.
DAY 2 FROM PONZA TO VENTOTENE
Continue towards Ventotene, another pearl of the Pontine Islands. Some 750 inhabitants live on the archipelago on an area of around 150 hectares – the ideal place to relax and enjoy the scenery. Enjoy your luxurious time out with various wellness arrangements on board. Water sports enthusiasts get to know the picturesque underwater world of the region in the diving areas.
DAY 3 FROM VENTOTENE TO CAPRI
On the third day of your cruise, starting from Ventotene, your journey will take you to Capri, the highlight of your route. International glamour meets the unspoiled rocky cliffs on what is probably Italy’s most famous island. For centuries Capri has been considered the holiday island for the rich and beautiful of this world. A visit to the blue grotto is an absolute must in Capri. The shimmering blue of the water cave will take your breath away. The historical traces of former islanders at Villa Jovis are equally worth a visit. The real atmosphere of Capri can be experienced while dining at Terrazza Brunella. While enjoying a fantastic view of the unique scenery, your holiday resembles a culinary dream journey.
DAY 4 FROM CAPRI TO AMALFI
The fourth day dawns and you set off for Amalfi. The romantic port city nestles up against the rocky cliffs like no other and appears incomparably pristine. The typical colourful facades and the steep, roughly cobbled streets characterise the image of the town. The former capital of the maritime republic of Amalfi served as a hub for traders from all over Europe. This can still be felt today when strolling through the winding streets. During dinner at Le Palme, just above the marina, you will experience a picturesque sunset.
DAY 5 FROM AMALFI TO POSITANO
Positano, another pearl on the “Path of the Gods”, which connects the various coastal villages of the region, awaits you the next day. The town is known for its unusual fashion and its idyllic location at the foot of the cliffs. Moor your yacht at the anchorage in front of the promenade and enjoy a great view of Positano. Stroll through the quaint alleys of the little town and let yourself be spoilt once again by the delicacies of western Italy.
DAY 6 FROM POSITANO TO POZZUOLI
On the sixth day you will cross the Gulf of Naples with your luxury yacht and head for the port city of Pozzuoli. At Porto di Pozzuoli you can expect excellent service and ideal connections to the surrounding sights. Especially the Rione Terra, the heart of the city, is worth a visit. Enjoy the last evening of your trip with a dinner on board or in one of the excellent restaurants.
DAY 7 FROM POZZUOLI TO NEAPLES
Back at the marina of Naples the well-known, Italian metropolitan flair awaits you. Relaxed from a wonderful stay on board, you can now take the opportunity to visit the attractions of Naples, such as the famous city of Pompeii. After the cruise, connoisseurs enjoy a few days on the beaches of the region and let themselves be spoiled by the soothing sunrays.
